Chipton-Ross is seeking Electrical Assemblers (10-20 positions available), for contract opportunities in North Charleston, SC.

*This position is 100% ONSITE.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o 1+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English.
o Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd )
o 7+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing
o 7+ years of experience in electrical assembly and/or electronic materials
o 7+ years of experience in wire bundle installations, and aircraft electrical systems troubles
o Ability to identify common tools.
o Must have demonstrated strong effective communication, work ethic and sense of urgency for completing assigned tasks/work.
o Computer literacy -Experience using software applications for internet navigation and email with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and/or other specialized computer applications.
o Ability to adhere to high standards of Safety and Compliance regulations.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.
o Routing of wire harnesses per blueprint instructions & client specifications for the 787 program.
o Building connectors, splicing wires, crimping, and terminating wires.
o Installing connectors to receptacles and electronic components.
o Performing repairs, rework processes to incorporate authorized changes outlined by engineering instructions.
o Fiber optic clean and inspection, light loss testing, routing and installation.
o Bond & Ground including CRNs, jumpers, ground stud installation & resistance testing.
o Operate mechanical lifts of various types. (e.g. JLGs, Magic Carpets, and scissor lifts)
o Chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints and special finishes
o Working around energized sources (electrical equipment and hazards/shock, e.g. circuit breakers and wiring) and exposure to constant noise.
o Inspect your work quality and check for FOD (Foreign Object Debris).
o Inspect to ensure First Pass Quality (FPQ) is attained per engineering drawings and specifications.
o Finger manipulation (keyboarding, other).
o Reading from a computer screen, printed drawings or documents.
o Adhere to high standards of Safety and Compliance regulations
o Verify and ensure FAA compliance with Quality Management System.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o 10+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
o Aviation experience or completed aviation degrees

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to carry/lift up to 10-35 pounds

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.). Education must be accredited.

WORK HOURS:
Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd). There is no guarantee they will stay on the same shift and requesting a shift is not an option.

ADDITIONAL:
o If hired, successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment.
o The training consists of a combination of instructor-led and web-based training. It includes classroom style and hands-on application to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the material.
o Training Length: Training is a minimum of 10 weeks.
o Completion of training: Contractors who receive 3 or more incompletes during the training flow cycle will be subject to release.
o Attendance: 100% completion of training is a contingency for the assignment.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
