Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking Assembler B's for a contract opportunity in North Charleston, SC.

This position is 100% onsite.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Look up/read/comprehend technical work instructions, drawings and/or specifications.
o Apply sealant and to surface per specifications.
o Install various aircraft system components such as panel installs.
o Operate mechanical lifts of various types (e.g. ladders, tiger and snorkel lifts).


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
-Experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite and/or other specialized computer applications
-Computer literacy
o Ability to identify common tools
o Must have the ability to complete the New Hire Training Cycle Flow to obtain and maintain all required certifications.
o Use a computer in a production environment.
o Appropriate protective clothing/equipment determined by the task you are performing.
o Operate mechanical lifts of various types (e.g. ladders, tiger and snorkel lifts).
o Various tools such as Rivet gun and bucking bar, screwdrivers, lock bolt puller, power screwdriver, C-squeeze, ratchet wrench, nut runner, Winslow, 90-Degree Power Vane, or Quackenbush and various other hand tools.
o Chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints and special finishes
o Inspect your work quality and check for FOD (Foreign Object Debris).
o Use of high impact vibratory tools (bucking/riveting).
o Climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), Crawling, Crouching (squatting),
o 1+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English.
o Performs routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual operations.
o 1+ aviation / technical school experience required
o 9-10 week's of training
o Working around energized sources (electrical equipment and hazards/shock, e.g. circuit breakers and wiring) and exposure to constant noise.
o Finger manipulation (keyboarding, other).
o Reading from a computer screen, printed drawings or documents.
o Ability to adhere to high standards of Safety and Compliance to regulation.
o Work in confined space and respirator usage.
o Carrying/Lifting up to 10-35 pounds.
o Flexion/Extension (head bent down, head bent back), Handling, Kneeling, Bending at the waist, Reaching (overhead), Rotation of head/neck, Standing, Twisting at the waist and walking.

o 1. Ability to work in confined spaces.
o 2. Ability to qualify and use a respirator.
o 3. Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd)
o 4. Ability to work with High Hazard Chemicals.
o 5. Proficiency with typical hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, sockets, ratchets, etc.) Use of high impact vibratory tools (bucking/riveting).

EDUCATION:
Accredited HSD/GED

FULL TIME/WORK HOURS:
Must be willing to work all shifts


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
