Chipton-Ross is seeking 2 (two) Embedded Software Engineers for a contract opportunity in Grand Prairie, TX.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Designs, develops, operates, and maintains software and firmware components and computing systems software to be applied to and integrated with engineering scientific and manufacturing requirements. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of such engineering applications and produces such as laboratory simulations systems airplane flight control and display systems avionics mechanical and electrical systems, weapons armament, commercial and military aircraft systems, mobile and ground-based defense systems, space systems, and other systems and applications of this nature. Interfaces with customers suppliers’ application users and other technical and support personnel.
DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to interpret customer needs, work with the team to develop software solutions, product backlogs, and
provide technical feedback to the team
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology
• GitLab CI/CD pipeline, and JIRA/Confluence
• GoogleTest or similar unit test tool/framework
• Knowledge of Publish / Subscribe communication protocol Data Distribution Services (DDS) by RTI is preferred
Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA), C-Make, Cameo Modeler.
• Experience working with multi-disciplined teams
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with software formal qualification testing (FQT)
• Experience with software requirements/architecture/design
HARD REQUIREMENTS:
• Must work onsite-fulltime
• Real-time embedded software development in Linux
• C++ (modern C++ 11 or higher desired)
• Multi-threading/multi-processing
EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's Degree.

4/10-1st Shift
MISCELLANEOUS:
