- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Test Technician II for a contract opportunity in Hillsboro, OR.
SUMMARY:
With such an important global mission statement our Test Technicians reinforce our Quality Culture through product testing to ensure that Customers across the world receive the highest quality best performing products possible!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Perform testing using prescribed methods/work instructions
o Collect test data for our database then analyze data to make process decisions
o Assist in selection and/or set-up of specialized equipment
o Performs wide variety of analysis to identify and address problems
o Perform machine set-up, calibration and preventative maintenance
o Rebuild manufacturing equipment when needed to ensure operability
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
o At least 1 year of manufacturing/electronics testing required
o Previous experience using test equipment preferred (Digital Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Chart Recorders)
o Experience in lean manufacturing, 6S and continuous improvement a plus
o Experience with Windows-based and MS Office programs a plus (Word, Excel, Outlook and Access)
o Military Veterans encouraged to apply.
o Ability to read detailed drawings and perform basic problem solving on electronic and mechanical assemblies at the component and system level
o Comfortable to work in a cleanroom environment using appropriate PPE
o Able to follow detailed work instructions then successfully complete daily work
o Ability to analyze and solve problems independently as well as collaboratively
o Self-motivated, with strong organizational skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
o Ability to lift up to 35lbs
o Strong verbal and written communication skills, successful in teams with differing cultural, language and educational backgrounds
EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma or GED
A 2-year technical degree preferred or a combination of education and experience that demonstrate the required skills. Military Technical Training in lieu of technical degree may also be considered
WORK HOURS:
Full-Time; 2nd shift
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
