Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Systems Administrator for a contract opportunity in Sunnyvale, CA.

This position is 100% onsite.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
o US Citizenship required at this facility
o Ability to lift 30 pounds
o Must possess a CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8572 qualified certificate (or obtain within the first 60 days of employment)
o Experience with Linux or Unix operating systems
o Install operating system security patches and firmware updates
o Create/manage security groups
o Coordinate hardware repair activities
o Diagnose and resolve hardware/software problems/issues
o Create scripts to automate system administration tasks
o Create/edit Standard Operating Instructions (SOI) documentation

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:
o Experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
o Experience administering virtual machines with VMWare ESXi
o Performing routine server/workstation patching per guidelines
o Proficiency in scripting (shell/Ansible)
o Successfully install server and associated hardware
o Successfully install/configure software applications and programs
o Managing servers in a disconnected environment
o Experience with vulnerability remediation and security management (system hardening, log management, configuration management [i.e., Nessus, Trellix, Splunk, SCAP, HBSS])

EDUCATION:
Accredited HSD/GED

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time 4/10 work schedule 1st Shift

MISCELLANEOUS:
Applicants responding to this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
