- Chipton-Ross is seeking a QC Technician II for a contract opportunity in Agawam, MA.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Quality Control Associate role is responsible for conducting audits to ensure accuracy and compliance throughout all areas of the distribution center (DC). The audits will be focused on supplier compliance and adherence to industry standards for EDI, packing slip accuracy, labeling, and general packing and inbound shipping quality. This position requires establishing and maintaining a strategic and collaborative relationship with a remote team in Pittsburgh and supporting the internal distribution team. The Quality Control Associate ensures the adherence for suppliers to meet our Operational Requirements and the penetration of electronic transaction utilization.
Key Responsibilities:
o Detailed documentation of inbound supplier receiving audits:
o Packing slip accuracy
o Labeling accuracy
o Carton integrity
o General packing and shipping
o Inspection/audit of damaged freight
o Documentation and communication of non-compliance with both the Supplier Relations and DC Teams
o Support department standup meetings
o Involvement in continuous improvement in developing compliance systems and process
o Demonstrate strong safety awareness and flow all the guidelines within the DC
o Participate in DC and Supplier Relations activities and events
REQUIREMENTS:
Metrics
o Supplier compliance to Operational and EDI requirements - quantity and quality metrics
o ASN Accuracy/Penetration
o Receiving Productivity
HARD REQUIREMENTS:
o Minimum High School Diploma
o 3 years of Distribution/Operations/Manufacturing experience
o Working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
o Good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
o Strong cross functional relationship building
o Independent self-motivated worker
EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma or GED.
WORK HOURS:
Full-Time 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Monday through Friday.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
