Chipton-Ross is seeking a CL PAINTER/BLASTER 1ST for an opportunity in Pascagoula, MS.
Additional hourly PD is 18.38 for those that live over 75 miles with valid utility bill. This new rate will require a minimum of 2 hours worked daily and is capped at 8 hours maximum per day. There is NO differentiation for Premium or No Premium.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Requires a minimum 3 or more years' experience as a painter/blaster.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Painters have the responsibility to perform blasting and painting utilizing marine coating to specified contract requirements. Understanding of blasting and painting specifications including but not limited to blast profiles, millage requirements, etc. Perform blasting and painting applications as directed by supervision. Testing will consist of the ability to hook up airlines to the manifold and spray horizontal, vertical and side to side. - Able to sand blast and demonstrate how to utilize each part of the blast equipment.
Must be able to perform all blast requirements and functions utilizing all applications. - Identify and correct blast and paint deficiencies as required by the contract specifications.
**A skill assessment will be a written and hands on test.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited High School diploma or equivalent.
WORK HOURS:
1st, 2nd, 3rd shift.
Brush and roll 7/8's (56 hours) at the moment and blasters 7/12's. (84 hours).Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
