Chipton-Ross is seeking a Scientist II, Quality Control for a contract opportunity in Carlsbad, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Qualifying product(s) in a lab setting following standard operating procedures
o Performing various assays which may include the following: PCR, qPCR, Bioanalyzer, HPLC, HPIC, small/medium nucleic acid purification, Polyacrylamide and Agarose Gel Electrophoresis, Cloning and Transformation, FRET and Flow Cytometry.
o Creating and maintaining specification batch records and other work order documents
o Analyzing data and making detailed observations to ensure product quality
o Initiating and processing problem notifications for deviations and material nonconformance
o Maintaining equipment, product inventories, and related records

REQUIREMENTS:
o 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or research laboratory setting.
o Demonstrated proficiency in scientific laboratory techniques and equipment
o Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and/or GMP manufacturing environment
o Strong commitment to continuous improvement
o Energized by working in a fast-paced environment
o Consistent, dependable, and accurate in carrying out responsibilities
o A positive attitude and a dedication to consistently achieving work goals
o Curiosity, innovation, and a drive for excellence
o Excellent documentation and communication skills

EDUCATION:
o Required: Bachelor's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field
**Education MUST be accredited**

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM - OT as needed.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
