Chipton-Ross is seeking 8 Reliability and Maintainability Engineer 4's for a contract opportunity in Everett, WA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
· Commercial airplane certification in the US.
· Authoring system safety assessment (SSA) for commercial airplanes.
· Authoring fault tree analysis (FTA) for commercial airplane systems.
· Authoring FMEA for commercial airplane systems.
· Previous commercial airplane maker work experience in safety and reliability analysis.
· 8 or more years' related work experience in an engineering field.
· 5 or more years of Reliability Engineering experience in commercial aviation.
· Experience in airplane systems design or engineering analysis (e.g. Propulsion, Electrical Power, Mechanical, Network, Fuels, Pneumatic, Interiors, Flight Controls, Hydraulics, Avionics, Fuels, etc.).
· Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) experience in commercial airplane certification.
· Proficient in FTA software tools such as CAFTA, ReliaSoft or FaultTree+.
· Experience in FTA integration for commercial airplanes.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
· We have an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Reliability and Maintainability Engineer to join our Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) Engineering organization located in Everett, WA.
· The selected candidate will help design, certify & support commercial airplanes by applying state-of-art reliability and maintainability engineering design, modeling and analysis principles. R&M Engineering is a key functional discipline that supports the airplane development for optimal performance, lifecycle economics & compliance to safety and airworthiness requirements.

· Use modeling, simulation and data analytics methodologies & tools including statistical and probabilistic analyses.
· Serve as a technical specialist supporting other functional design groups during all stages of the airplane product development and support lifecycle.
· Responsible for aiding in determining program technical performance measures (TPMs) such as schedule reliability, airplane operational availability & maintenance cost.

Provide support in the following areas:
· Design for Reliability & Safety (airplane and system design reliability requirements validation & verification, reliability requirements allocation to suppliers, failure modes, rates, effects, propagation and detection analysis, architecture & operational provisions, safety & certification analysis, certification support, reliability & durability testing),
· Design for Maintainability (airplane and system design maintainability requirements validation & verification, task time analysis, maintainability evaluation of design using digital maintainability tools including virtual and augmented reality tools), requirements for and assessment of airplane technical performance measures (TPMs) such as schedule reliability, airplane operational availability & maintenance costs, TPM guarantee analysis.
· Interaction with airplane system suppliers, business partners, airline customers, airplane development program leaders, and functional management is typical, as is a high level of communication between the rest of the R&M Engineering internal organization, program teams, and functional design areas. Team involvement and individual effort, problem solving, and managing multiple actions and assignments will be regular duties for an R&M engineer.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
· Experience utilizing Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools.
· Experience with project planning and execution.
· Technical leadership experience.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

WORK HOURS:
FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT 7:00 AM-3:30 PM

Employment will be contingent on clearing a background check. Must clear prior to start date.
