Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking a CNC Machinist for a contract opportunity in Stratford, CT.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
2 to 4 years of machining experience with either CNC and/or conventional machines
o Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
o Independently program, edit programs, set up and run CNC or conventional machines.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
o You will set up and operate various types of CNC machinery such as mills or lathes, or conventional machines such as mills, lathes, or grinders.
o Machine complex parts to exacting blueprint tolerances, meticulously meet specified requirements, ensuring the quality of finished parts.
o Collaborate with a supportive team to ensure high-quality production and timely delivery.
o Perform other duties as assigned to meet manufacturing goals.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
o Possess a certification from the National Institute of Metalworking Skills (NIMS)
o Graduation from a state approved journeyman program or receipt of an associate's degree in machine technology.
o Receipt of a machine technology certification of completion with a minimum of 1500 hours training.
o Ability to edit and program ProtoTRAK machine tools and Siemens or Fanuc controls using Mastercam.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
