Chipton-Ross is seeking a Test Engineer for a contract opportunity in Grand Prairie, TX.
This position is 100% onsite.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Hands-on experience with ground-launched missile systems testing including launch systems and targeting/fire
control elements
o Experience developing standard operating procedures for missile processing, test plans and test reports.
o Active secret clearance preferred, willing to consider candidates with a previously held active clearance. Interim secret clearance required to start position.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
This Integration and Test position is in support of a ground-launched missile program and will include technical and programmatic duties. Duties include the hands-on conduct of subsystem assembly, integration and testing, ground and flight testing, use of automated test equipment during missile processing, and preparation of test related documentation. Primary duties involve test planning, setup, and conduct during Design Verification Testing (DVT) in labs such as the Environmental Test Lab and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) lab. This role will also require developing procedures for missile functional testing using automated test equipment, as well as test plans and reports. This role will also require the candidate to assemble and test mockup (inert) missiles and live ordnance flight test missiles plus support flight testing at a Government Test Range requiring some travel for flight test operations.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
o Experience planning and coordinating flight test missions.
o Experience being part of a flight test team
o Experience with missile telemetry and flight termination.
o Experience being part of a flight test team for ground-launched missiles.

Accredited Bachelor's Degree

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
