Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Field Technician 3 for a contract opportunity in Newport News, VA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Associate's degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline, and 3 years of related experience.
o Knowledge and experience in programming with Wonderware, RS Logix, RSNetworks, RSView, Factory Talk and Siemens software is preferred.
o Heavy Industrial experience
o Ability to read and produce electrical/controls schematics
o Review and update AUTOCAD drawings
o Design of PLC, HMI, and logic development
o Troubleshooting industrial machinery.
o Strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written
Required PPE Ear Muffs, Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, Steel Toe Boots

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment. Performs a variety of maintenance and
technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at
customer and/or field locations. Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance.
Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time. Installs, upgrades and
removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change. Maintains effective customer
communications and relations. May provide onsite training of customer support personnel.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Associate's degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline.
Degree must be accredited.

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time 5/40 workweek. 1st shift, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
