Chipton-Ross is seeking 2 (two) Assemblers for a contract opportunity in Oldsmar, FL.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o 5+ years of experience in soldering and rework, with a focus on advanced techniques
o Strong understanding of electronics assembly and repair principles
o Proficiency with soldering equipment, including but not limited to:
o Soldering irons and stations
o Reflow ovens and soldering machines
o Experience with inspection and testing equipment, such as microscopes and X-ray machines
o Excellent hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and attention to detail
o Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting production deadlines and quality standards
o Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
o IPC (Institute for Printed Circuits) certification in soldering and rework (e.g., IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/7721)
o Experience with automated optical inspection (AOI) and x-ray inspection (AXI) systems
o Assemble and solder electronic components, including:
o Through-hole and surface mount technology (SMT) components

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking a highly skilled Solder assembler to join our team, specializing in advanced rework on circuit card assemblies and knowledge of mechanical assembly related to circuit cards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in soldering and rework techniques, with the ability to work on complex electronic assemblies. If you have a keen eye for detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and a passion for precision electronics work, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
o Perform advanced rework on circuit card assemblies, including but not limited to:
o BGA (Ball Grid Array) reballing and replacement
o QFN (Quad Flat No-Lead) and other leadless package rework
o High-density connector rework and repair
o Complex SMT (Surface Mount Technology) component replacement
o Through-hole and surface mount technology (SMT) components
o Fine pitch and high-density components
o Utilize various soldering techniques, including hand soldering and reflow soldering
o Uses microscope to verify correct part placement and orientation
o Inspect and troubleshoot assemblies to identify defects and areas for improvement
o Develop and implement rework procedures for new and existing products
o Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve design and manufacturing issues
o Perform mechanical assembly operations, including:
o Installing stand-offs, spacers, and other hardware
o Assembling and aligning complex mechanical components
o Using adhesives, epoxies, and other bonding agents
o Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety and quality standards

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma or GED.

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time 4/10-1st Shift

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
