Chipton-Ross is seeking a Digital Tools Specialist for a remote contract opportunity.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Digital Tools Specialist will work with the Associate Director Analytical Chemistry and cross-functional leadership to play a key role in laboratory digital transformation initiatives. This role will interact with R&D and other cross-functional stakeholders in the creation and implementation of digital tools and the integration of hardware/software solutions supporting chemistry, sterility and microbiology program workstreams across global sites. The Digital Tools Specialist will identify system needs and user requirements, develop project milestones and execute implementation tasks related to data automation, UX design and workflow optimization.
The person in this role must demonstrate independence and experience creating new digital tools based on Power-BI, Power Apps, Share Point and Excel which interface with existing laboratory software platforms such as LIMS and ELN. The individual will be instrumental in working with key stakeholders to design tools and dashboards within the existing Vantive Microsoft environment.
Projects will involve integration of existing corporate and laboratory software platforms as well as development of new digital tools to capture workflows and highlight key laboratory productivity metrics. There is a high level of interaction and influence with global colleagues to ensure activities stay in scope and within schedule commitments.
While embodying our client's culture of rapid execution and with a strong sense of urgency, the Digital Tools Specialist will take a "hands-on" approach in driving progress across multiple projects and initiatives. The Digital Tools Specialist must work effectively in collaboration with internal and external teams to achieve organizational goals in a highly matrixed environment.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
1. Expertise designing digital tools based on Microsoft Power-BI, Power Apps, Share Point and Excel.
2. Experience with laboratory digital platforms such as LIMS and ELN.
3. Experience with scheduling and resource management software (Project or similar); Experience in data analysis (Excel based); Business acumen (strong or developing).
4. Experience working with global cross-functional teams.
5. Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Laboratory or Clinical Practices and Product Development Process requirements.
6. Able to effectively communicate (multiple modes) at the leadership level. Tailors both oral and written communication to the audience. Able to convey complex ideas and concepts to management.
7. Strong attention to detail: Ability to track multiple parts of different projects to remain up to speed with the latest developments.
8. Strong leadership potential: Ability to positively influence, lead, and manage a diverse team of internal and external stakeholders.
9. Aptitude for managing well with ambiguity, including sound and rapid decision making with little information and quick adaptability to change, i.e., has an agile mindset.
10. Background in chemistry and experience in medical products or pharmaceutical industry.
11. Previous experience with development of digital tools for such organizations (Microsoft Power-BI, Power Apps, Share Point and Excel) is required.
12. Demonstrated success working with and leading cross-functional teams is required.
Preferred: Project Management Institute (PMI) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. The Digital Tools Specialist will be key in designing, implementing, managing and supporting new and existing digital tool platforms across global sites.
2. Collaborate with the cross-functional team to develop a detailed analysis of existing laboratory digital tools and identify gaps, risks/issues and opportunities for improvement.
3. Develop new laboratory tools to track project milestones, resource management and equipment utilization.
4. Identify, develop and implement scanning technologies for the laboratory to address data automation, inventory tracking and asset management needs.
5. Key point of communication and alignment: The Digital Tools Specialist interacts through project updates, reviews (written and verbal), and other data-driven mechanisms to ensure effective ongoing communications across teams and stakeholders.
6. Ensures effective project risk management by proper identification, prioritization, and management of cross-functional risks. Works with team to propose solutions to mitigate risk impacts.
7. Responsible for maintaining project data, records, and other documentation as required to support separation activities.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor level degree in computer science preferred, Accredited High School Diploma acceptance with 3-5 years relevant experience. (or 3-5 years equivalent experience). Education must be accredited.

ADDITIONAL:
The role is Remote in nature. Limited (up to 10%) domestic travel may be required in this role.
RMTEmployment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
