Chipton-Ross is seeking a Containerization and Orchestration Engineer for a contract opportunity in King Of Prussia, PA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
2+ years of experience with Docker images, including creation, management, and deployment.
Experience with Kubernetes, including cluster setup, configuration, and management.
Familiarity with Helm charts and package management.
Strong understanding of containerization concepts, including networking, storage, and security.
Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Bash or Python.
Experience working in a Linux environment.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Containerization and Orchestration Engineer will join the ADDER team within Lockheed Martin's CDAO office, focusing on designing, developing, and deploying containerized applications using Docker images. The successful candidate will have experience with Kubernetes and Helm charts, ensuring seamless orchestration and management of containerized workloads. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement scalable, secure, and efficient containerization solutions, supporting the ADDER team's mission to enable data-driven decision-making across all domains.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
4+ years of experience with containerization and orchestration technologies.
Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes, including custom resource definitions, operators, and cluster federation.
Experience with Helm chart development, including creating and managing charts for complex applications
Familiarity with containerization security best practices, including vulnerability scanning and compliance.
Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git.
Knowledge of cloud-based containerization platforms, including AWS ECS, GKE, or AKS.
Experience working in a DevOps environment, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Certification in Kubernetes administration or containerization (e.g., CKAD, CKA, or Docker Certified Associate).
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's Degree.
WORK HOURS:
Full-Time 4/10
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
