Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking 2 (two) Assemblers for a contract opportunity in Chelmsford, MA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Previous experience in electronics/microelectronics assembly.
o Ability to work 10 hours under a microscope and utilize hand tools such as torque drivers, tweezers, and other similar instruments.
o Good dexterity and eye/hand coordination
o Ability to read and work from detailed process sheets and drawings.
o Good computer skills are required to support retrieval of drawings and work instructions as well as other job activities.
o Active secret clearance preferred, willing to consider candidates with a previously held active clearance. Interim secret clearance required to start position.
o High School Diploma (no Bachelor's degree required).

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws. Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications. May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
Performs fabrication or modification tasks on micro-integrated circuit modules and sub-assemblies. Performs disassembly, assembly, modification, rework and repair operations on various pre-production subassemblies, assemblies and complete systems that utilize integrated circuit technology. Performs the above operations after the units have been rejected by testing and are sent back with test failure sheets, isolating the problem area. Plans work sequence by interpreting schematic diagrams or other specifications. Utilizes test equipment to check parameters during and after rework to assure that the unit conforms to specifications. Records and summarizes data and procedural steps taken to assist engineering in the development and preparation of procedural specifications required for assembly. Must meet specified certification requirements required by the customer.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Familiarity working in an ESD and FOD-controlled environment.
o Experience in mechanical assembly processes of small electronic devices.
o Experience working on military products in ISO 9001 / AS9100 controlled environments.
o Ability to work with minimal supervision.
o Ability to work in a team environment; Good interpersonal, teaming and communication skill.
o Experience with Adhesives and Epoxies.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma or GED

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time 4/10-1st Shift. Monday through Thursday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM EST

ADDITIONAL:
Active secret clearance preferred, willing to consider candidates with a previously held active clearance. Interim secret clearance required to start position.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
