Chipton-Ross is seeking a Test Engineer for a contract opportunity in Orlando, FL.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Must have Interim Secret Clearance to start. Final Full-Active Secret is required to continue assignment
o Experience Integrating HW and SW
o Ability to troubleshoot problems
o Experience and willingness to collaborate with external suppliers and customers
o Experience in presenting at program leadership reviews, technical reviews, and safety reviews
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will provide telemetry and Flight Termination System support for a development missile. Primary responsibility will be to provide engineering support for ongoing qualification and/or lot acceptance tests, production deliveries, supporting obsolescence upgrades for existing components/assemblies, and identify/developing 2nd source options for components/assemblies. The role includes elements of requirements, design, analysis, integration, test, reviews, and safety coordination. This employee needs to be a self-starter and have the capability of determining one's own tasking based on input from program. The ideal candidate should have experience and willingness to collaborate with external suppliers with a focus on requirements verification, technical performance, and schedule. Candidate should have excellent verbal, presentation, and written skills. Candidate will be responsible for communicating status and issues as well as recommendations to program. Experience in presenting at program reviews, technical reviews, and safety reviews is desired. Travel to supplier, production, and/or test locations will be required on an as needed basis.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Embedded Telemetry or Flight Termination System Design or Integration Experience
o Knowledgeable in verification of system built-in performance achieved from the lowest level modules to the final assembled system
o Ability to operate/coordinate comfortably with software engineers, designers, and production personnel
o RF background
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, Aerospace, any Technical Degree
WORK HOURS:
Full-Time 4/10 work schedule 1st Shift
ADDITIONAL:
