Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking 2 Test & Evaluation Engineer 2's for a contract opportunity in Hill AFB, UT.

100% onsite

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Ability to obtain security clearance is required for this position.
o General knowledge of test support equipment (Oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.).
o General knowledge of electrical principles.
o Regular and predictable attendance is required

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participates in gathering and analyzing requirements for test measurement systems. Assists in the development of test procedures, and instrumentation and configuration definition to perform the test within the constraints of the test plan. Develops solutions to calibration systems problems. Performs data analysis, develops and utilizes data processing tools. Designs simple component level hardware or software. Uses analytical tools to verify the design. Verifies collection of complete data set. Maintains test logs, prepares simple test reports and archives data. Works under direct supervision.

o General knowledge and is proficient in the operation, integration, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automatic test equipment (and associated software, Test Program Sets (TPS), and programming codes).
o Designs component and sub-assembly level hardware or software as specified by the Statement of Work. Uses analytical tools to verify the design. Assists in coordinating the manufacture and assembly of test hardware.
o General knowledge across a wide range of radiation effects and electronic, electrical, software engineering disciplines (e.g., analog and digital circuit design, electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) electrical design, embedded software and microprocessor-based system designs).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Nuclear hardness and survivability experience.
o Knowledge of electrical design practices.
o Experience operating radiation producing equipment.
o Preferred to have knowledge/experience with high voltage pulse power, marx generators, and pulse forming.
o General knowledge of microelectronics and their performance in a radiation environment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with experience in an engineering classification and typically 2 or more years' experience.

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time/First Shift/ 4/10's
6:30 AM - 5:00 PM

ADDITIONAL:
Domestic travel required: Potential domestic, less than 10%
Possible OT opportunities.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a background check. Must clear prior to start date.
