Chipton-Ross is seeking a Logistics Clerk for a contract opportunity in Calumet City, IL.
JOB SUMMARY:
Receives customer orders. Plans and processes deliveries. Resolves customer delivery issues.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
O 5+ years of experience required.
O Chemical plant experience preferred.
O Logistics experience preferred.
O Proficient computer skills (Outlook, Word, SAP, Sample Manager and Excel).
O 49CFR certification and IMDG certification preferred.
O Must be able to multi-task and efficiently operate in a stressful work environment.
O Must have strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
O High level of detail and accuracy required.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Logistics Clerk Duties (75%):
O Receive and process orders through customer service department.
O Generate daily shipment paperwork from SAP for tank truck finished product.
O Verify conformance of all tank truck finished product shipments to finished product specifications and release product for shipment.
O Schedule loading of tank wagons and prepare load sheets.
O Produce all shipping documentation for tank truck finished product including tank wagon loading schedule, COA's, SAP documents, Bill of Lading, Customs Paperwork, etc.
O Coordinate bulk delivery schedule with carriers.
O Daily transactions in SAP, Z01's, PGI and process returns.
O Work with KOP Customer Service and/or plant personnel to investigate and resolve customer delivery issues.
O Maintain shipping records files including adding shipping records to API product batch records.
O Maintain office equipment and supplies.
O Other duties as assigned.
Logistics Coordinator Duties (25%)
O Participate in rotating weekend duty for Logistics issues every other weekend.
O Backup to Logistics Coordinator.
O Assist with packaged finished product (drums/totes/samples), when necessary.
O Read company communications weekly, i.e. production advisories, emails, etc.
O Complete scheduled periodic training on time and as required.
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
O This position works in an office/warehouse environment.
O Classes will be attended as needed for current shipping regulation training.
O Demonstrates commitment to HES through high visibility and actions.
O Supports the site HES policy and complies with all regulatory and internal requirements.
O Participates in HES activities provided by site management and Arkema Inc. (e.g., Behavioral Based Safety, SafeStart, etc.)
O Supports and promotes the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident or injury incidents.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited high school diploma or equivalent required.
WORK HOURS:
First shift, Full time
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
