Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Engineer for a remote contract opportunity.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Proven experience with NIFI, specifically for XML parsing and XML file generation using XSDs.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience working with SAP HANA databases.
  • Familiarity with Java or Python for custom scripting and data manipulation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with an ability to optimize data flows and workflows.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders in a collaborative environment.
    • Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Informatica (INFA flows), Oracle, and BODS is a plus.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and tools in the data engineering space.
    • Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Previous experience working as a data engineer or in a similar technical role is highly desired.

    • POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain NIFI data flows for XML data parsing and XML file generation based on XSDs.
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate data from XML sources into the HANA database, ensuring the integrity and performance of data pipelines.
  • Optimize data workflows and troubleshoot performance issues related to HANA.
  • Work with HANA databases to manage and transform large volumes of data efficiently.
  • Provide insights on best practices for data management and integration across systems.
  • Utilize Java and Python to develop custom data transformations or utilities as needed.
  • Collaborate with other engineers to create and optimize Informatica, Oracle, and BODS workflows (training provided on Informatica flows).
  • Maintain thorough documentation of data flows, processes, and system integrations.

    • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with Informatica (INFA flows), Oracle, and BODS is a plus.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and tools in the data engineering space.

    • REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Accredited Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

    Ful-Time
  • 4/10 work schedule
  • 1st Shift RMT


    • Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
