Chipton-Ross is seeking an External Product Implementation Specialist for a hybrid (onsit/remote) opportunity in Englewood, CO / Seattle, WA.
Hybrid - 2 to 3 days onsiteBASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o 2+ Years' experience in a 24x7x365 production environment or related experience. o 2+ Years' experience in change control process or Release Management process. o ITIL Foundations Certification or equivalent experience. o Microsoft Visio, Xcel and Word experience is a must. o Experience in software life cycle is a plus - Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required. o Regular and predictable attendance is required.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
You are a Change and Release Management Specialist able to manage, track, and approve ITS environment changes and software releases to production system environments. It is important that you have experience in understanding and performing our Change Management policies and Release Management procedures. You have experience in being able to identify deficiencies in the system and process and have influence in fixing and analyzing. As a Change and Release Management Specialist you may need to create reports and metrics to ensure that approved changes and releases are completed within the system so that during audits all information is correct. You also have strong interpersonal skills to work with subject matter experts from IT organizations and Development as well as peers on the team to ensure alignment to the Change Management and Release policies.
You will also share responsibility as an Incident manager, executing the process to restore normal service operation as quickly as necessary to minimize the impact to business operations, ensuring the successful execution of the Incident management process including investigation and resolution of all production and customer impactful incidents, managing incident workflow and all customer communication from incident escalation through resolution, including postmortem review.
o Execute the change management process using ITIL best practices and industry standards for change. o Manage the daily Change Management and Release Management functions including maintaining and documenting change management procedures, technical and business impact assessment. o Lead Change Review meetings with local team members, stakeholders and management. o Identify and manage scheduling conflicts working with teams to negotiate implementation dates and schedules across the organization. o Ensure analysis is conducted to assess potential impacts of proposed changes. o Coordinates the resolution of major issues with internal and external teams to drive incidents to resolution. o Communicates incident status, resolution and business impact to internal and external stakeholders. o Facilitates the completion of the postmortem statement for all high severity, critically impactful incidents. o Ability to foster internal relationships in order to organize incident resolution efforts as quickly and smoothly as possible. Exceptional written and Interpersonal skills: Communicate effectively and concisely with applications teams, stakeholders and senior leadership. o Manage risks and resolves issues that impact release scope, schedule, cost and quality. o Works with Configuration Management, Deployment team, Test and Quality teams to successfully deliver high-quality software. o Performance Goal and Standards Setting: Develop and communicate to realistic timelines via plans that consider potential obstacles immediate and long-term consequences. o Understand datacenter business objectives: Critically review multiple plans and adjust as needed. Proactively communicate and address necessary trade-offs. o Process and Technology: Demonstrate a solid understanding of IT environment including operational processes and industry best practices. o Effectively changes plans, goals, actions or priorities to respond to changing situations. o Team Player: Ability to both contribute strategically to the change and release team and support strategic decisions. o Develop, manage, and contribute to maturing our ITSM processes, including the ServiceNow platform.
Change & Release Management Contractor Role o Onboard training. o eGSEP changes due to sale, need to have Digital Services products, workflows and approval groups separated. o request changes and test/validate. o assist in current data eGSEP audit of Digital Services Products, business services, portfolios. o update minimum Change & Release Management documents in Knowledge Homepage to reflect Client Digital Services. o eGSEP clone: working with Service Now team to test/validate. o DPR (release module) upgrade, not sure all this entails as will need to give guidance on the use of and determine gaps than once requirements understood, test/validate. o Assist products through Change & Release Management. o monitor the Change Dashboard for incoming CHG ticket requests (follow up with product team if ticket not clear & help get stakeholder approval). o monitor Release tickets (follow up with product team if ticket not clear & help get stakeholder approval). o support the move to GSEP.
Once separation in eGSEP - o back up to run Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) includes sending out TAC report. o back up to run Production Approval Board (PAB) includes sending out PAB report.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
o Previous ServiceNow experience a plus.REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years' related work experience (e.g. Master+13 years' related work experience, 19 years' related work experience, etc.).WORK HOURS:
Full-Time/First Shift 6:00 AM - 2:30 PMADDITIONAL:
Domestic travel required: 5% travel possible. Possible OT opportunities.Employment will be contingent on clearing a background check. Must clear prior to start date.
