Chipton-Ross is seeking an Operator I for a contract opportunity in Skaneateles, NY.



JOB SUMMARY:
The Packaging Associate is responsible for primary packaging of cuffs from the production line and preparing them for shipment. This includes ensuring compliance with quality standards, maintaining inventory, and supporting efficient production processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Must have basic computer skills, basic math skills, the ability to read and understand job instructions, and basic knowledge of tools.
  • Must be able to write legibly and use a numbering system.
  • Must understand and obey all safety rules and be able to perform all job tasks in a safe and timely manner.
  • POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Packaging Tasks:
  • o Package cuffs from the production line. o Label and prepare component parts or assemblies for shipment per work instructions. o Stack boxes on pallets for shipping or storage following SOP and safety standards.
  • Production Support:
  • o Maintain accurate inventory of components and replenish materials as needed. o Report discrepancies or quality issues to team leaders.
  • Quality Control:
  • o Escalate defects or non-conformities to team leaders. o Follow SOPs and document activities to meet regulatory and internal standards.
  • Safety & Compliance:
  • o Adhere to EHS requirements, maintain a clean workspace, and report hazards. o Follow GMP and regulatory standards consistently.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Standing & Walking:
  • o Prolonged standing for 8–12 hours and frequent walking between workstations.
  • Lifting & Carrying:
  • o Lift 25–55 lbs depending on tasks; team lift or equipment for items over 40 lbs. o Dynamic lifting:
    ? 35 lbs floor to waist ? 23 lbs to shoulder height ? 2 lbs overhead
  • Manual Dexterity:
  • o Fine motor skills for handling small components and repetitive motions (twisting, bending, reaching).
  • Visual & Hearing:
  • o Good visual acuity and color vision for inspections; hearing for verbal instructions and safety alerts.
  • Environmental Factors:
  • o Noisy manufacturing environment, PPE required (gloves, safety glasses, steel-toe shoes).

    REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Accredited High School Diploma or GED.
  • WORK HOURS:

  • Full-Time-05:45am-06:00pm
  • Must be willing to work overtime on weekends and off shift to cover absentees and vacations on other shifts.


  • Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
