Chipton-Ross is seeking a UI/UX Designer,for a remote contract opportunity.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

- Minimum Experience: 5-8 years in UI/UX design roles - Showcase a strong portfolio demonstrating a range of design projects and a user-centered design approach. - Proven experience in Requirements elicitation, user research. - Applies Design Thinking and UX Design are the best practices. - Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, etc. - Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for effective collaboration with developers. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate and justify design decisions. - Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, adapting to evolving project requirements. - Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. - Design visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces for web and mobile applications, employing a comprehensive approach that includes creating detailed wireframes, mockups, and prototypes. - Employ a comprehensive user-centric approach by conducting thorough user research to gain insights into user behaviors, needs, and motivations. Develop detailed user personas and scenarios based on research findings to guide and shape design decisions - Integrate interactive features that elevate user engagement, fostering a smooth and delightful experience by incorporating thoughtful interaction design principles.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a UI/UX Designer, you will play a crucial role in creating an exceptional user experience for our digital products. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for designing and enhancing the user interface, ensuring a seamless and visually appealing interaction for our users. This role requires a combination of creativity, technical proficiency, and a deep understanding of user-centered design principles. Duties may include (but are not limited to):
- Verify existing UX artefacts and research to confirm/affirm requirements and UX research validity. - Elaborate requirements from new/emerging needs, conduct user research through various UX design approaches and produce effective UX design. - Support trade studies to evaluate COTS tools and advise on the capability, effort and approach to produce effective UX design for the current set of needs/requirement. - Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure design aligns seamlessly with business objectives, actively engaging in design critiques and problem-solving sessions for a cohesive approach. - Collaborate with the development team to craft high-fidelity visual designs that seamlessly embody the overarching brand identity. - Iteratively refine designs based on user and stakeholder input, ensuring the development of user-friendly and effective interactive prototypes through usability testing and continuous improvement. - Ensure designs are responsive and provide consistent experience across various devices and screen sizes.

REQUIRED EDUCATION Accredited education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).

TRAVEL:

Potential of domestic travel, very minimal.

WORK HOURS FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT; 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
