Chipton-Ross is seeking a Test & Evaluation Lab Tech 2 for a contract opportunity in Berkeley, MO

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Electrical fabrication experience (ie soldering, crimping, pinning, ringout, routing, etc).
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics.
  • Active Secret Clearance required to start.
  • POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Perform fabrication, assembly, set-up, and test operations for Test & Evaluation of Air Dominance, PW & Weapons platforms. To include installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation systems. Supports activities to plan, conduct and document tests on products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes and technologies. Designs systems, materials, components, software and methodologies to meet customer requirements. Participates in test design and performs routine procurement, fabrication and assembly of components, test fixtures and test systems. Supports the coordination of test requirements and assists in reviewing test methods and capabilities. Facilitates systems integration, fabrication and modification; supports system pre-test setup, integration, checkout, and post test tear-down. Conducts routine tests, analyzes data and documents results. Troubleshoots and recommends resolution of basic laboratory and test-related problems. Works under general supervision.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Air Vehicle electrical manufacturing, modifications, or maintenance.
  • Strain Gage installation experience.
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Standing, kneeling, leaning over, or lying down, for prolonged periods of time.
  • Working from heights, either on ladders, stands, or wearing fall protection harness.
  • Ability to handle tools and small parts.
  • REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Accredited AA degree in related discipline and typically 1 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • WORK HOURS:

  • Full-Time-1st Shift- 07:00am-03:30pm
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required.
  • ADDITIONAL:

  • Candidate must be able to obtain Special Access post start.
  • Active Secret Clearance required to start.


  • Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
