Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Structural Bay Engineering Technician 3's for a contract opportunity in Chandler, AZ.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

o High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of additional education and/or related experience. o Positive attitude - vocal contributor - team player. o Experience working with engineering drawings, schematics, work packages, data recording. o Good mechanical aptitude, problem solver. o Ability to perform hands-on work, from small, detailed work to working with large heavy objects. o Proficient with hand tools. o Ability to lift 50 lbs. o Desire to balance technical, schedule, cost, and resources to meet overall company objectives. o Basic computer knowledge, working with MS Office product line. o US citizenship required.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

o Provides technical support in the Structural Test Bay by working with fellow technicians and engineers to develop, build, test, and document testing of hardware for the Launch Vehicles Division. o Must have a strong mechanical aptitude while having the desire to ensure the highest overall job quality. o Must have good communication skills, both orally and written as the desired candidate will work closely with other technicians and engineers in a team environment. o Adhere to and help enforce safety and personnel protection policy and instructions from teammates, supervisor and Environmental Health & Safety personnel. o Must be able to respond quickly under dynamically changing scenarios. o Provide mechanical support to assembling fixtures and test setups and may assist with the design of test setups. o Occasional overtime (<10%) may be required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

o Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Costpoint, and MES. o Experience with pressurized hydraulic systems. o Forklift experience. o Crane operations and overhead lifting of large heavy objects (like structural steel). o Soldering experience. o Instrumentation experience (installing/bonding strain gages and linear displacement transducers).

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent is required. School must be accredited.

HOURS:
9/80 workweek. 1st shift.



Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
