Chipton-Ross is seeking an Electrical Engineer for an onsite contract opportunity in Hilton Head, SC.



POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilize National Instruments LabVIEW software for programming and testing.
  • Design and develop diode laser driver circuits, preferably capable of handling currents greater than 100A.
  • Provide schematic development and system diagrams for electronics associated with laser transmitters and testing equipment.
  • Perform analog and digital circuit design, focusing on laser circuitry and its test/operation.
  • Conduct electro-optical integration activities and power supply design, including EMI prevention.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and resolve problems on high-voltage industrial equipment.
  • Support high-voltage electronics, glass shop, and melt equipment throughout the facility.
  • Perform technician-level tasks and assignments as needed.
  • Operate lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and pulse generators.
  • Test and debug analog and digital circuit boards, as well as high-power electronics.
  • Flow down system requirements into a system test plan and execute accordingly.
  • Create design review presentations for technical audiences, including engineering, manufacturing personnel, and senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with military specifications/standards.
  • Select components to optimize electronics size, power consumption, and reliability.
  • REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience.
  • OR
  • Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience
  • OR
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • **Education MUST be accredited**

  • Full-Time


  • Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
