Chipton-Ross is seeking 40 Flight Readiness Technician B's for a contract opportunity in San Antonio, TX.



100% onsite

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

o Ability to work a variable shift. o 6 months of interiors removal and installation experience. o 6 months experience with live aircraft systems and flight operations. o 6 months experience/knowledge with Foreign Object Debris (FOD) risk. o Regular and predictable attendance is required

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will provide critical production support to the San Antonio 787's including improving production efficiency, safety and optimizing product quality. Qualified candidates will perform routine component installation and verification, as well as, systems operational functional validation testing. Flight Readiness Technicians perform rework, modification, maintenance, preflight and post-flight checks for delivery.

o Perform installation of aircraft interior components, including but not limited to galley monuments, lavatories, sidewalls, stow bins, strong backs, galley mats. o Knowledgeable in the operation and troubleshooting of aircraft Inflight Entertainment Systems (IFE). o Performs main cabin cleaning activities to support pre-flight FOD inspections. o Assists with pre-flight and post-flight checks and performs maintenance and modification actions. o Comfortable in Interior Repairs: Paint Skills (Filling, Blending, Color Matching), Composite Repair, Sealing, FDA seal application and Decorative Laminate replacement. o Specialized Skills: Oxygen Mask Packing, Passenger entry Door Rigging. o Attention to detail. o Resolves identified problems during operation and testing of deliverable products. o Assists in performing system & sub-system pre-delivery inspections and aircraft maintenance in preparation for delivery. o Plans, schedules and arranges own activities with the assistance of lead. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. o Exhibits Client Behaviors.

Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment: On the job training.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

o 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. o FAA Airframe & Powerplant license. o 6 months of Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience. o 6 months of 787 Program experience. o Familiar with Client Production System. o 6 months experience with Field/Flight Line Operations.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).

WORK HOURS:

MUST BE OPEN TO WORKING 1st, 2nd or 3rd SHIFT.

ADDITIONAL:

This work assignment has been designated as "safety sensitive" by the Client. Contractors assigned to safety sensitive jobs at the Client site must first complete regulatory preplacement requirements prior to reporting to assignment. Additionally, contractors assigned to safety sensitive work will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with federal mandates. Possible OT opportunities.


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
