Chipton-Ross is seeking a Service Technician for a contract opportunity in Largo, FL.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to follow work instructions is required.
  • Ability to work well together and independently and as a part of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient computer skills required to enter data, navigate, and routinely toggle between various
  • application systems.
  • Ability to perform basic math is required.
  • A basic level of proficiency with various hardware and assembly tools (ex: screwdriver, pliers) is
  • preferred, but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of various testing tools such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, hipot tester,
  • pressure gauges is helpful.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adheres to all environmental, health and safety SOP’s, equipment, policies and procedures,
  • including any department specific requirements.
  • Maintains a mindset that all accidents can be prevented and works pro-actively to achieve zero
  • harm in the workplace.
  • Follows defined Quality Management Systems, all applicable procedures, reviews maintenance
  • records, and completes all documentation as required.
  • Maintains a continuous flow of the servicing line and works independently and as a part of a team
  • to achieve process yield results.
  • Uses good judgement from the established procedures and device readings to continue through
  • the service or testing process and escalates as needed.
  • Rotates into other areas such as assembly, repair, shipment preparation, spare parts and test
  • operations as needed.
  • May train employees on an as needed basis.
  • May perform inspection duties as required per required procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Depending on the rotation of roles additionally:
  • Uses of a variety of hand and power tools, and aids (ex. tube cutter, crimp machine, pallet jack,
  • etc.) to assemble and disassemble medical devices. Uses machinery, equipment, and test aids to conduct a variety of tests, measure devices, and calculate data to verify adherence to ensure the unit functions within provided specifications.
  • May performs scheduled calibration of test stations and equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • May assemble boxes and packaging material.
  • May package medical devices and transports pallet of finished goods for outgoing shipment.
  • May receive incoming product, use chemical solutions to disinfect and sanitize devices,
  • production equipment or the immediate work environment (i.e., diluted bleach solution, hydrogen peroxide, alcohol wipes, etc.).

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous electrical mechanical assembly, repair OR testing experience is preferred, but not
  • required.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to wear applicable personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas as
  • required including safety glasses at all times.
  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time with frequent walking, stooping, reaching, grasping
  • and using fine & gross motor manipulation.
  • Depending on rotation of roles, must be able to lift up to 30lbs and if working in shipment
  • preparation up to 42lbs and use material handling equipment (ex. pallet jack or walkie stacker).
  • Depending on rotation of roles, ability to regularly work with cleaning and sanitizing solutions such
  • as diluted bleach.
  • Depending on rotation of roles, ability to occasionally handle medical devices that have come in
  • contact with bodily fluid and or insects.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Accredited High School Diploma or GED.
  • WORK HOURS:

  • Full-Time-06:00am-03:30pm


  • Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
