Chipton-Ross is seeking a Systems Test Engineer for a contract opportunity in Chelmsford, MA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

Experience using Microsoft Office to generate reports, project plans, and work instructions

Experience writing, editing, and supporting software using LabVIEW and/or TestStand

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks independently

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Experience working effectively in team environments

Ability to work with minimal detailed direction

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan, implement, test, document, and maintain solutions for integration and testing of in-house and COTS/GOTS components

Translate customer requirements into system test solutions considering technical, schedule, and cost constraints

Establish functional and technical specifications and standards

Solve hardware/software interface problems and define input/output parameters

Ensure integration of entire systems or subsystems

Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and schedules

Coordinate testing activities with programs and other organizations

Analyze test results and prepare evaluation reports

Write discrepancy reports and perform regression testing

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

9+ years of professional experience preferred

Expertise in RF or microwave systems and subsystems

Experience developing complex test programs in NI LabVIEW and/or TestStand

Proven ability to troubleshoot down to instrument, fixture, software, or unit level

Experience specifying components for test equipment design

Proficiency in generating engineering documentation

Familiarity with corrective/preventative action processes

Experience deriving test requirements from system-level requirements

Strong collaboration and communication skills across disciplines

Experience preparing technical presentations and trade studies

REQUIRED EDUCATION

Accredited Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education

4/10 work schedule

1st Shift
