Chipton-Ross is seeking a Aeronautical Engineer for a contract opportunity in Palmdale, CA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)

  • Experience in airframe structure design and analysis
  • Experience with metallic and composite design
  • Experience with CATIA V5 and or 3DX
  • Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
  • Experience working with LM BAs
  • Experience interacting with suppliers, external customers and Production Operation
  • MRB coordination and support
  • Experience with hand stress analysis
  • Experience with hypersonic boost-glide systems
  • 10+ years of Experience in airframe structure design and analysis
  • 10+ years of Experience with metallic and/or composite design
  • 10+ years of Experience with CATIA V5 and/or 3DX

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Aeronautical Engineer you will be responsible for driving the integration and design synthesis of Special Mission programs while collaborating across a multi-disciplinary team.

You are a collaborative engineer with deep expertise in system integration and a proven track record in leading complex, multi-disciplinary projects. Your communication skills enable you to influence diverse teams and mentor the next generation of talent. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are driven to deliver innovative solutions that have real impact.

Help lead integration and design synthesis across aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, thermodynamics, electronics, controls, and actuation.

Support and conduct multi-disciplinary system trade studies to optimize performance and cost.

Coordinate with fabrication, assembly, MRB, quality, and supply-chain teams to ensure smooth production operations.

Generate and present technical and administrative materials for customers and internal stakeholders.

Mentor early-career engineers and champion the client culture across cross-functional teams.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

  • Accredited Bachelor’s or above Degree in an Engineering Discipline

WORK HOURS

4/10, Full-Time.
