BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy, regulatory compliance, and attention to detail in a fast-paced pharmacy environment
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role include:
- Ensuring the accurate, efficient, and complete processing and dispensing of prescriptions.
- Overseeing all pharmacy recordkeeping, licensing, and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable state and federal pharmacy regulations.
- Reviewing, updating, and adhering to pharmacy policies, protocols, and procedures to maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Collaborating and communicating effectively with pharmacists, including those at remote locations, and with Third-Party Logistics personnel to resolve operational and patient-related issues.
- Maintaining all required documentation, including exception reports and other regulatory records.
- Ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality assurance standards, Joint Commission (JCAHO) requirements, state and federal regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), where applicable.
- Performing additional pharmacy-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
- Accredited Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B.S. Pharmacy) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
WORK HOURS
- On Call- 20-30 hours per month.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
